Coming soon from the Pulse Dev Pipeline

2012 sees some new and exciting developments and enhancements coming out of the Pulse Development Shed. We are always looking to improve the integration and usability of the software, mostly based on customer feedback. as customers start to use the software, they see things that they would love to have included, so we do our best to accommodate them and best of all the combined ideas to make the software do more things is then rolled out to all our clients and not just built as a custom application – giving everybody in the Pulse Business Software Community a huge benefit.
Some of the new additions for the next major release are:

MS Exchange and GMail Calendar Integration.
Whilst Pulse business software has its own powerful calendar application built, many clients use either Google or Exchange as corporate email systems. Now, in Pulse Business Software,  appointments for salespeople who are chasing opportunities or service staff who have time booked will be synchronised with the clients enterprise’s central calendar software making a seamless integration.

IPad and IPhone Dedicated Application.
With the popularity of devices like iPad and iPhone moving into the corporate world for technicians,  a purpose-build IPhone and IPad application is in development to allow service technicians to remotely keep their central Pulse system up to date on their Service Request progress and position. whilst this can already be done with certain remote devices, the new application will make the whole process much simpler and easier to do.

Automated Deploy
To speed up our deployment process and drive a consistent quality level we are concentrating on completing our automated deploy process.
New installations, upgrades and patches all benefit from this backoffice improvement.

At Pulse Business Software, we always welcome suggestions on how to improve the systems you have, add new features and improve quality and usability, so if you would like to make any points, please contact us. Pulse 11.12 Release Highlights

Pulse 11.12 Release brings a leap forward in recurrent billing.

Pulse 11.10 Release Hightlight

Pulse 11.10 Release introduces stock tracking of unserialised items.

Many Pulse customers use Pulse serialised stock tracking for asset management and installed system support.

Now consumables and other non-serialised stock can be tracked in Pulse, as it moves from warehouse to technician van stock to being used in the service process.
This unifies the Pulse as the single ERP System for stock tracking, costing and billing in one system, and relieves the burden of running separate legacy or manual systems.

Improved upgrade testing process with Pulse checklists

At Pulse we use the software we sell to run our own business.

A recent example is part of our upgrade testing process.
We make use of specialised software testers who work through a rigorous checklist before each upgrade.
The checklist is built into our Pulse Service module, and configured by our implementation lead based on ongoing experience of our customers using the software.

The checklist lives linked to the upgrade Service Request, so we can always provide details of testing performed.
