Example 1 – Commission-based
Michael is a business consultant
He is also a Pulse Partner with a commission-based deal (20% of first 18 months of any new customer)
He realises one of his customers would benefit from using Pulse’s Sales and Service modules
He communicates the benefits and guideline costs to his customer
He arranges a meeting with his customer’s decision-makers in which a Pulse team member demonstrates how Pulse would help their business
Pulse quotes the customer R50 000 for the implementation project and R10 000 per month for their 25 users
The customer accepts the quotation
The Pulse team implements Pulse at the customer
Michael gets R10 000 when the customer pays for the implementation project
He also gets R2 000 from Pulse every month for 18 months (R36 000)
In summary, Michael earns R46 000 for the introduction.

 

Example 2 – Commission and Consulting
Patrick is a business consultant
He is also a Pulse Partner with a commission-based deal (20% of first 18 months of any new customer), and has received training on how to implement the Sales Module
He realises one of his customers would benefit from using Pulse’s Sales and Service modules
He communicates the benefits and guideline costs to his customer
He arranges a meeting with his customer’s decision-makers in which a Pulse team member demonstrates how Pulse would help their business
Pulse quotes the customer R50 000 for the implementation project and R10 000 per month for their 25 users
The customer accepts the quotation
Patrick agrees with Pulse that he will implement the Sales Module and the Pulse team will implement the Service Module, and that the Sales Module comprises 25% of the implementation work.
Patrick gets R12 500 (25% of the implementation project, as agreed) for the implementation of the Sales Module
Patrick gets R7 500 (20% of R37 500 for the Service module implementation done by Pulse) commission when the customer pays for the implementation project
He also gets R2 000 from Pulse every month for 18 months (R36 000)
In summary, Patrick earns R56 000 for the introduction and for implementing the Sales Module.


Example 3 – Consulting and Billing Customers
Juliet runs a Software Services Consultancy
She is also a Pulse Partner with a resellership deal (She bills the customers, and 25% is retained in first 18 months, 5% after that), and has received training on how to implement the Sales Module
She realises one of her customers would benefit from using Pulse’s Sales and Service modules
She communicates the benefits and guideline costs to the customer
She arranges a meeting with the customer’s decision-makers in which she demonstrates how Pulse would help their business
Juliet quotes the customer R50 000 for the implementation project and R10 000 per month for their 25 users
The customer accepts the quotation
Juliet agrees with Pulse that she will implement the Sales Module and the Pulse team will implement the Service Module, and that the Sales Module comprises 25% of the implementation work.
Juliet bills the customer R50 000 for the implementation project, and pays R37 500 to Pulse for implementation of the Service Module.
Every month for 18 months, Juliet bills the customer R10 000, and of that pays Pulse R7 500
From the 19th month, Juliet bills the customer R10 000, and of that pays Pulse R9 500
In summary, after 18 months Juliet will have made R57 500, and after 36 months R66 500. Juliet continues to make R500 per month from this customer, as long as she bills them.
